Module 1 - Principles and Practices of Landscape Design

This course is the core of our entire Landscape Design Online Course. These are the methods, the principles and the practices essential to all landscape design and what we teach in our studio School of Landscape Design. If you take only one course, let this be the one. You will learn everything from drafting through insightful site and client analysis to the principles and practices of fine garden and landscape design. With the successful completion of this course you receive the Certification of Course Completion From Keith Davitt's School of Landscape Design. This course includes the primary elements from all the other modules as well.

Module 2 - Planting for Effect

This course focuses not only on great plant combinations and the principles behind dramatic as well as subtle and sublime groupings but as well on how to select plants which heighten the intended effects of a particular design. Every plant conveys a message - has a psychological impact which you can learn to 'read' and use in your gardens. Because you learn the principles behind combining plants effectively, your location in the world doesn't matter, although we will demonstrate specific groupings for your locale. Module 3 - Small Garden Design

Small gardens design encompasses an entirely different set of design principles than those covered in Module 1. In this course you will learn how to make the most of any small space.

Module 4 - Working with difficult sites

Slopes, Narrow sites and shady areas are the focus of this course. You will find that there is no site that can't be rendered beautiful when approached properly.

Module 5 - Water Features - What, Where and How

In this course you will learn of all the different types of water features, which to use where, how to design them and how to build them. Included will be numerous examples, illustrations and before, in-progress and after images.

Cost $3,600, payable in installments. Number of lessons 12.
